The Peace Train Public Art Project

Our Partners
The Peace Train Public Art Project features a collection of individual train car sculptures uniquely designed and decorated by artists from the greater Boston area.

The cars are mounted on pedestals with a plaque denoting title, artist credits, sponsoring organizations or partners, and include a special QR code connecting visitors to a wealth of information on about our project and ways to get involved and make a difference. The cars will be displayed throughout the Boston area and New England. At the end of the installation period the cars will be auctioned off to collectors.
Our mission of peace focuses on three themes, or “tracks”: food security, healthcare (including mental health & wellness), and education. Each car represents that artist’s vision for peace, while highlighting a specific call to action related to one of the tracks.
Peace Central Station will share portions of donations and auction proceeds with charitable organizations concentrating on these tracks.

The project is inspired by the children's book The Peace Train by Cat Stevens and New York Times best selling children's book author and illustrator Peter H. Reynolds.

We are at the very beginning of our journey. Check back here for more as we move down the tracks.
