The Peace Train Public Art Project (“Peace Train”, “the Project” "the company") is a philanthropic initiative produced by Peace Central Station Incorporated, a registered non-profit (“Peace Central Station”, “PCS”, “the Organization”). The Project is designed to engage the public with specially curated and designed art installations in places of interest, with the goal of raising awareness for important issues and generate funding for partner organizations. PCS sets forth the following terms & conditions for engaging in this website, its content and features, and any webforms or payment portals. For more information on how we process user/donor information, please see our Privacy Policy. By engaging with this website or any of its features, you understand and agree to these terms & conditions. Any violation or misuse of these policies or this website or any of its features and functions may result in legal action.

 

COPYRIGHTS & LIMITATIONS OF USE

 

The Peace Train Public Art Project is the sole property of Peace Central Station Incorporated, and all related videos, images, physical media, designs, recordings, specific language & copy, product descriptions, titles, slogans, methods, offers, logos, and other content including but not limited to: brochures, leaflets, marketing briefs, advertisements, are the considered the sole property of the PCS & its owners, officers, & authors and are considered proprietary. As such, any reproduction, posting, copying, duplication, manipulation, or repurposing of these materials apart from their intended usage is strictly prohibited. Partner logos, descriptions, links, and all other media are used by permission, and remain the property of their respective owners and institutions with all rights reserved. Furthermore, unless otherwise stated or under the public domain, it is to be assumed that the ideas, concepts, themes, methods, direction, and all other such materials both physical, digital, and conceptual, featured on the website(s), and at PCS events & installations are the intellectual property of PCS and are protected under copyright. PCS reserves the rights to its IP, and unless specifically authorized, does not grant permission to any student, guest, or third party to its use. Unauthorized use may result in legal action where & when necessary to protect its IP, proprietary materials, brand, and philanthropic goals, especially in instances which could in any way potentially dilute, detract from, or confuse that product/service/brand/reputation/business with that of PCS, it’s Projects, or its overall mission, even if such actions are not, or cannot yet, be determined to have caused direct harm to PCS or its projects.

 

PAYMENTS & REFUNDS

 

Peace Central Station is a non-profit registered in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In its continuing mission to raise awareness and funding for various philanthropic causes on its own through various initiatives and in conjunction with its partners, PCS accepts public donations. Donations made via this website are accepted through a third-party payment service. By engaging in our website to make a donation, you acknowledge that all information you provide is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge, and consent to the use of any information you provide for the purposes of processing your donation and agree to be contacted by PCS regarding your translation and for future communications regarding our mission. For more information about how donations are processed and how information is used & stored, please review our Privacy Policy and those of any third party services we utilize. Purchase is incomplete without valid, corresponding payment in full. Donations are non-refundable except where required by law. Unless specifically agreed to in writing by the Organization, donations are unrestricted and may be used for any specific purpose or initiative, or any & all general purposes by the Organization at the Organization’s sole discretion. Peace Central Station complies with all requirements for financial disclosures and donation reports as required by law or as agreed to by request of its partners. INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE TO US. The Website provides various places for users to provide information. We collect information that users provide by filling out forms on the Website, communicating with us via contact forms, responding to surveys, entering donation & payment information including sensitive personal information such as full legal name, address, contact information etc., entering search queries on our search feature, registering for an event or service via the Website.

 

We use information you provide to us to process donations completely and accurately as required by law, to deliver on our mission of outreach and awareness, to improve our overall performance as a charitable organization, and to provide you with additional offers, resources, promotions, and information. Your information may also be disclosed in financial reports where required by law. In accordance with our policies, we may share donor and contact info with our partner and affiliate organizations in furtherance of our mission, and to provide our donors with access to additional resources and information from our partner organizations. PCS complies with all federal and state regulations regarding the collection, storage, and sharing of your information, and will not otherwise sell or exchange your information.

 

INFORMATION WE COLLECT THROUGH AUTOMATIC DATA COLLECTION TECHNOLOGY. We are committed to keeping your e-mail address confidential. We do not sell, rent, or lease our subscription lists to third parties, and will not disclose your email address to any third parties except where reasonable in accordance with our named partner organizations, and as allowed in the section titled Disclosure of Your Information.

 

We will maintain the information you send via e-mail in accordance with applicable federal & MA state law.

 

In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, all e-mails sent from our organization will clearly state who the e-mail is from and provide clear information on how to contact the sender. In addition, all e-mail messages will also contain concise information on how to remove yourself from our mailing list so that you receive no further e-mail communication from us.

 

Our emails provide users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us and our partners by reading the unsubscribe instructions located at the bottom of any e-mail they receive from us at anytime. With the exception of potential automatically generated emails from our third party donation processing service (receipts, updates to their policies etc.) all official PCS communications will originate from peacecentralstation.org or from an @peacecentralstation.org e-mail address.

PCS collects your information in order to support your interest & engagement in our mission, and to keep accurate and complete donor records. We use collected information to track your preferences and to keep you informed about the programs, projects, and progress in which you have indicated interest. PCS also reserves the right to use any contact information we've collected as a means on contacting you with regard to matters of payment/non-payment of donations. As a visitor to this Website, you can engage with our homepage and media therein without providing any personal information, however users shall be required to provide certain personal information when making donations or completing web/contact/survey forms.

 

If you are outside the European Union and engage with any forms or sections of our websites/apps which request your information, we may automatically enroll ​you to receive our free email newsletter or future targeted promotional e-mails. If you do not wish to receive these communications, you can unsubscribe anytime. We include an "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of every email we send. HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION AND SECURE INFORMATION TRANSMISSIONS?

 

We employ commercially reasonable methods to ensure the security of the information you provide to us and the information we collect automatically. This includes using standard security protocols and working only with reputable third-party vendors and developers. Email is not recognized as a secure medium of communication. Additionally, our Company devices employ reasonable security measures, anti-virus & anti-malware/ransomware software, and encrypted backups.

 

For this reason, we request that you do not send private information to us by email. However, doing so is allowed, but at your own risk. Some of the information you may enter on our website may be encrypted or transmitted securely via a secure medium known as Secure Sockets Layer, or SSL. Credit Card information and other sensitive information is never transmitted via email. For sensitive transactions, we employ the secure services of companies like Stripe for all invoicing & payments.

 

The Company may use software programs to create summary statistics, which are used for such purposes as assessing the number of visitors to the different sections of our site, what information is of most and least interest, determining technical design specifications, and identifying system performance or problem areas.

 

For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, PCS takes commercially reasonable measures (such as two-step verification for all authorized users), and uses software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.
